Brown Sugar: Strawberry
November 22nd, 2006 by Alex
Sporting a new cover design compared to first generation packaging, Brown Sugar is back. They’ve also released some new (and unsurprisingly common) flavors for our smoking pleasure.

| Cons | Very common flavor |

Unfortunately, you can tell the little things have been done that make Golden Wrap leaves stick out from the pack, while the Brown Sugar just kind of blends in with the background. They aren’t as uber-infused with a strawberry essence as other brands.
As more manufacturers enter the game, we’re going to see very similar products. Even ZenSmoke, which has multiple lines underneath its brand name, puts out similar shit compared to other papers in their own product line. The strawberry papers from Brown Sugar are good. They won’t blow your socks off, but won’t disappoint either.
Golden Wrap: Strawberry
August 29th, 2006 by Alex
Finding a solid brand of papers you can always enjoy is like learning of a long lost brother - priceless. Golden Wrap Strawberry is one of 5 flavors that serve up a different angle on your smoking experience.
The papers are slightly smaller than King Size, the leaves are coarser and thicker than your average Joe, and the flavor seems deep soaked into each leaf. When it comes to the smell, these suckers are exactly like strawberry candy. You know, the ones with the strawberry wrappers and the gooey stuff inside? Ah well, just look to below then.

These are the first papers I’ve come across that are completely infused with flavor. Almost every aspect gives off strawberry overtones - the smoke, the taste, the smell … everything. Shit, they even burn nice, even and slow. Golden Wraps are definitely top notch and a solid choice to keep on you all the time. Expect more flavor reviews from this company soon.
Royal Blunts: Strawberry Banana
August 25th, 2006 by Alex
Royal Blunts Strawberry ($2) was the first offering released in their flavor line-up, so it’s a good place to guage where Royal started and where they’re headed. You can see the packaging has a small, see-through plastic window. I’m not a fan of this because it allows light to enter the tube packaging and dry out the leaf. Unfortunately, this is exactly what happened with their product. The Strawberry leaf was the dryest wrap that tFS has ever encountered. This SOB was ripping at the edges and brittle as hell.
Helpful Tip: if your blunt wrap is obviously dry, slide the holder straw out from the middle before attempting to unroll the leaf. This will prevent hang-ups and tearing on the top and bottom edges.
After getting past the dryness, it was time to evaluate the quality. The strawberry was very subtle to smell, but this isn’t necessarily bad. You don’t need an aroma to punch you in the nose to smell good. The blunt tasted very sweet but didn’t add much flavor to the smoke, if any. It did burn with the normal Royal Blunts quality we’ve come to expect. Overall, this isn’t a bad blunt, I’d just like to see the packaging redesigned to make sure I’m purchasing a fresh product.

Spanish: Strawberry

As mentioned before, the glue is pretty weak with this brand so you’ll have to pay extra attention when rolling. Taken as a whole, these papes serve up the entire package and always deliver a great burn.

Da Bomb Blunts: ‘Kush’ Kiwi-Strawberry
August 8th, 2006 by Alex
This level of quality does not transfer to the flavor though, because there isn’t much in the first place. Still, you will notice a hint of smoothness added to the taste. Leaf texture and rollability are all top notch, making this latest offering a good buy when looking for a complimentary blunt to a chill evening.
