Mountain High: King Size Cones
March 15th, 2007 by Alex
There are many devices being made that allow the smoking experience faster, easier and better. Some prefer the ‘by hand’ method of rolling, but not everyone. Today, I’m reviewing Mountain High: King Size Cones, the original pre-rolled smoking papers.

Moving into the cones, they are thin (semi-transparent) rice papers. They come in packs of 3 and each one has the ‘Cones’ logo embossed into the papers themselves. One thing that stands out is the extremely long filter. Luckily, due to the size of these cones and their expansion, you can still pack more than enough into these things.
The cones taste and smoke well, just like your regular unflavored king size. Worth noting is the build quality, with no creases or air leaks on the seam.
Overall, these cones provide an avenue for people low on time to roll up a high quality joint. They’re made for a purpose and perform it well.
Cyclones: Honey

It’s Monday morning, so let’s start this week the right way with a blunt wrap review. I didn’t want to kick us off with a normal-style blunt, but instead something a little different - Cyclones.

Now that we’ve covered the basics, let’s move on to the details. First, they are extremely convenient and easy to roll. As long as you have a grinder ready, these take less than 2 minutes to pack nicely and take out the door. Other than usability, the honey smell is relatively on point, but that’s where the good features end.

Complete patent pending Cyclones schematic.
The most important aspect of these wraps is that they don’t taste like honey. They taste more synthetic than anything I’ve encountered in a long time. What’s worse is they eventually start tasting bad. Almost like there’s some sort of acidic film in your mouth and on your lips. This has to improve in future versions.
Cyclones wraps also add a level of harshness to your smoke. The treatment and texture of the leaf itself is considerably different than that of Juicy Jay’s, Blunt Wrap or Da Bomb Blunts. This is due to the fact the leaves need to be hardened and dried so they maintain their cone shape.
There are going to be some people out there who don’t agree with this, but Cyclones Honey are one of the worst blunts we’ve tested so far. Being convenient is a positive, but not at the price it costs. I hope other flavors bring more to the table for the next pre-rolled blunt review.
