Mendocino County Might Try Something New

Marijuana plants: a little too many in Mendocino County.

County supervisors of cities like Ukiah, CA are checking their pockets and pulling out lint. However, they’ve come up with a plan in Mendocino County to stop medical marijuana patients from growing over their limit of six adult plants and 12 immature plants and taking money from them at the same time.

A vote of 3-2 happened on Monday, adding eradication fees to their medical marijuana ordinance. The final vote will be in two weeks and the medical marijuana advocates say they will challenge the amended ordinance.

If you missed the Marijuana Inc. documentary on CNBC, it’s basically a look at the ineffectiveness of the federal government’s efforts at marijuana eradication, as well as a look at Mendocino County, probably the largest concentration of state-legal marijuana in the United States.
