Per usual, the smoke’s smell is as unidentifiable as the taste. Nothing really jumps out, it’s your typical Juicy Jay’s offering. Being as big as they are, I’d like to think they’d have the potential to excel in this department but these papers fall slightly short with this basic fruit flavor.

These papers sure don’t hide the Xmas theme. The packaging is covered in candy canes, the leaves are covered in candy canes and the dude who sells them is probably covered in candy canes. The 1¼” rice papers are smooth & thin – text book Juicy Jay’s style. Each leaf’s gum has a peppermint taste to it. As far as the smell, more peppermint action, but this time understated.

This obviously isn’t one of Juicy’s big sellers, but it is cool for some holiday cheer. It’s nice to see paper companies mix things up (well, except for Sizzling Bacon flavor) and give its customers some seasonal variety.

Smoke-ability is generally above average with Blackberry Brandy as tFS has yet to find any with a bad batch of glue.
These Jay’s papers match up with the rest of their kin by measuring 3″ x 1.75″ and containing 50 leaves per booklet. The burn is even, the glue is strong, and the papers have marshmallows on them. If you’re looking for something different that isn’t going to mess with the taste of your smoke, this is a nice change of pace.

Today I was doing my usual browsing goodness, looking at old and new products, when something caught my attention. Elements Rice Papers (which happen to have the cheesiest tag line ever, but that’s for another day) actually put together a product comparison test to show off how much better their papers burn. Now, I’m all for well thought out and non-biased tests run by a host company, but it never seems to turn out that way.

Most frequently, the companies doing these “comparisons” slant the test to get favorable results. If you pay attention, this one by Elements falls into the slanted category too. Why would you compare thin, rice based papers to any regular old brand? What does this tell me? That papers designed to be thinner are thinner? Way to go guys. Instead, they should run the test against something similar that would actually create an apples to apples comparison. Some good papers to test Elements against would be Smoking King Size – Reds, Eco, or De Luxe.

This graphic and the test behind it are nothing more than eyecandy – looks pretty on the outside but doesn’t mean a damn thing overall.

Like a tasty dessert, Juicy Jay’s Peaches & Cream pleases the mouth and the mind. These papers measure 3” x 1.75” and are packing 50 leaves. Though not quite on the level of the highest quality paper manufacturers, these are one of the best Juicy Jay’s flavors yet. Sporting a peach pattern and sugar flavored gum, each leaf burns at a relaxed pace. These papers, like other Juicy Jay offerings, have the chance of glue failure – so pay attention when rolling them up. Overall, if you’re looking for something a little different, Peaches & Cream delivers.
