How To Make Hash
December 28th, 2006 by AlexMaking hash always seemed a little daunting to me. As far as ‘do-it-yourself‘ projects go, hash is much more complex than your everyday pot brownies.
This video explains everything in detail and will definitely take away any apprehension at going through with the multi-step process. It takes some practice, but man is it rewarding to make your first batch of brown brick.
Make a little, make a lot - there’s no limit on how much you can press.
Learn How To Survive Police Encounters
December 11th, 2006 by TimNearly as good as a ‘Get Out of Jail Free‘ card, BUSTED: The Citizen’s Guide to Surviving Police Encounters really breaks down what to do and what not to do when being confronted by a police officer.
Whether you have questionable items on you or not, it’s always reassuring to know your rights and the basics of standard law enforcement procedure. So, if they do go off-course, you recognize it then and there.
Here’s an excerpt from their official website:
Created by Flex Your Rights and narrated by retired ACLU director Ira Glasser, BUSTED realistically depicts the pressure and confusion of common police encounters. In an entertaining and revealing manner, BUSTED illustrates the right and wrong ways to handle different police encounters and pays special attention to demonstrating how you, the viewer, can courteously and confidently refuse police searches.
Who knows, some of these tips might come in handy when you see those dreaded red & blues in the rear-view mirror. Whatever the case may be, this video is nearly 50 minutes long, full of good advice and well worth the time it takes to watch.

Pot Brownies Made Easy
November 30th, 2006 by Alex
One of the coolest things about the internet is the sharing of knowledge. It allows you to find (and build upon) other peoples’ impressive bodies of work. Doesn’t matter whether it’s for a book report, college thesis, or … say … some delicious pot brownies. It’s all about doing the best you can with what you have access to.
So, finding a highly-detailed site specifically dedicated to making quality pot brownies is something everyone can work with. Over at AppleSoft, you’ll find one of the best tutorials around. With step-by-step instructions, tons of pictures and explanations for his methods - the author has really upped the ante on these fan favorites.
You’ll also find slightly unconventional methods - using oil instead of butter, using smaller amounts of high-grade herb instead of larger amounts of schwag and thorough straining without putting shake into the actual brownie mix.
We’re warming up the tFS ovens over the weekend, so expect Chef Tim and myself to break down exactly how good this ‘How To’ really is.
