[Update] Beasley Admits to Rookie Pot Involvement
September 19th, 2008 by Alex
Looks like Perry was dead on point, when he called out Miami Heat rookie Michael Beasley along with Mario Chalmers and Darrell Arthur.
ESPN is reporting that Beasley was fined $50,000 for the incident at the Rookie Transition Program. Not a good start, right?
Still, this kid is 19 years old, and although you’d hope someone who is now worth millions of dollars would instantly start acting like an adult, life doesn’t work that way. Interesting how he originally refused to cooperate with the investigation, but eventually got pressured to admit stepped up and took the blame.
Good call, P.
Dominoes, Blunts and Reinforcing Stereotypes

I love how the NBA sends lessons, and congratulations are in order to NBA head hauncho David Stern for being more ineffective than the government at waging the war on drugs.
Darrell Arthur and Mario Chalmers were fined $20,000 each by the NBA for smoking a little grass, and enjoying them some women, during the league’s “Stay Away From Everything Fun” weekend resort trip (in case you were wondering, I did some amateur calculations on the fine and that’s only like fifty bucks in average human dollars). On the trip the league shows players how to avoid stuff like… spreading around photos of themselves smoking blunts.
Clearly, Stern has no sense of irony or humor. Am I the only one that didn’t hear Beasley’s name thrown around with all those news reports? It was all Arthur and Chalmers in the news reports, but Beasley looks so high washing those dominoes he might just take a bite out of one. Nice looking blunt though Super Mario. Here, here.
