De Amerikaanse stad die radicale linkse politiek opnemen en blijft de weg bereiden, is opnieuw bij het. Voor de stemming van November, zijn burgers zou kunnen zijn eerste in het te hebben land om legalized prostitutie.
Als Voorstel K overgegaan, zou de maatregel plaatselijk autoriteiten van het onderzoeken van, het arresteren van of het vervolgen van iedereen voor het verkopen van geslacht belemmeren. De verdedigers zeggen het ruwweg $11 miljoen omhoog de politie besteedt elk jaar arresterende prostituees zou bevrijden, en staan hen toe om collectives te vormen.

Nu de marihuana in onze cultuur toegelaten wordt, wordt het ook onderworpen aan één van de grootste risico's die de moderne mens onder ogen zien: bureaucratie.
De Wet Blog van de Drug van Alex Coolman @ neemt nota van een recente reis aan een conferentie NORML dat hij „door de sterke duw werd geslagen te regelen, de verhandeling normaliseren en formaliseren rond medische marihuana.“
De belangrijkste spelers op dit gebied schijnen om te begrijpen dat de medische marihuana een echt verbazend potentieel heeft te groeien? in het bijzonder wanneer het federale beleid verandert? en bewegen zich nu om structuren op zijn plaats te plaatsen die die groei om zo veilig, verantwoordelijk en duurzaam mogelijk zullen toestaan te zijn.
Terwijl het essentieel is om een sterke infrastructuur op zijn plaats, en lobbyisten te hebben om met wetshandhaving PACs te concurreren, kunt u niet helpen maar vindt de beweging om van zijn originele high-minded doelstellingen begint af te dwalen.

San Mateo om de Wetten van de Pot op te stellen

De de stadsambtenaren van San Mateo zijn het nadenken het instellen een stadscode voor marihuanakwekers, co-ops en patiënten, to address gaps left by the proposition that made medical marijuana legal in the California 12 years ago. The decision comes more than a year after three dispensaries were shut down in a raid involving local police officers and federal agents.
Following last years raids, law enforcement officials claimed the clubs were not acting as collectives. Owners and directors of the clubs argued they are collectives because members are pooling their money for marijuana, providing a safe place to buy it and access to resources about using it.
Whether or not San Mateo legislates the pot clubs, at least addressing the issue is a good first step.
California Supreme Court Backs MMJ

In a resounding victory for medical marijuana activists, the state supreme court of California recently denied a request to hear the county’s attempt to repeal MMJ laws. The San Diego Union-Tribune says the decision is ?an affirmation of the legitimacy of state medical marijuana laws,? according to Adam Wolf of the American Civil Liberties Union.
The ACLU actually worked in conjunction with Attorney General Jerry Brown’s office to fight the case against the county, which has spent about a year or so in court due to the county’s appeal efforts. The lawsuit filed by San Diego, San Bernardino and Merced County in 2006 was tossed out by two lower courts. The state Supreme Court’s refusal to consider the case Thursday ends the matter, which means it’s time to use the gas lamps to spark up some doobies.
By the way, earth to San Diego: you’re like 10 minutes from Tijuana, Mexico. I wouldn’t worry so much about a little medical marijuana… probably not their biggest concern.
2006 Marijuana Mid-Term Results

Well, all the results are in and it’s time to get them out to the public. The conclusions from these mid-term elections are mixed. Seeing how close some of the major ballots came to being passed, it looks like we’re on the right track towards legalization.
Honorable mentions go to Eureka Springs, Arkansas and Massachusetts for passing ordinances and low level resolutions aiding in the deprioritization of marijuana arrests.

2006 Stoner Voters Guide

Marc has done just about everything he can to facilitate action. Wow. Guess Marc blows the old lazy stoner myth right out of the water.

Legal Hemp Around the Corner

Hemp bares little resemblance to marijuana. You’d die from smoke inhalation before getting high off this stuff. What you can do is turn it into a wide variety of cool products - clothing, cosmetics, paper, rope, jewelry (think hemp bracelets) and more. The bill is aiming to avoid federal restrictions by requiring that farmers sell the hemp only to California processors. This will prevent interstate commerce and the big nose of the feds getting involved.
The only dissent comes from the Office of National Drug Control Policy, saying that marijuana plants could be easily hidden inside industrial hemp crops. These naysaying douchebags were most likely interviewed in this fine TV show.
Within a few years, there will hopefully be many varied products of high quality, home-grown, industrial hemp.
