Michael Phelps Greener Than You Thought
February 2nd, 2009 by Perry
OK, I got to admit: I never thought men who wear speedos, shave themselves and/or swim competitively were cool, but that was all before Michale Phelps came along.
The man who has more gold medals than anyone else on earth, just put some pretty big holes in the “marijuana is bad for your conditioning” argument, after the 14-time Olympic gold medalist was pictured making out with a one and a half footer — unless of course he was just trying to resuscitate it.
He may lose endorsement dollars from Wheaties, but I’m sure there are thousands of counter-culture companies out there that wouldn’t mind an endorsement from one of the country’s most famous athletes.
Think about it. A message from MPP and Michael Phelps — that might carry some extra weight. Maybe when they finally invent some waterproof rolling papers…

Thanks Ted and Michael.
Roor User Gallery
January 24th, 2007 by Alex
Roor is one of the premier glass manufacturers out today. Unfortunately, it’s hard to find or see any of their designs beyond what your local headshop stocks.
Un Sacco di Canapa (translation: a bag of hemp) has created one of the largest Roor user galleries on the internet.
With well over a hundred pictures in the gallery, you really get a feel for how Roor has branched off from their beginnings of spartan, no-nonsense design. From percolators to ash catchers, beaker shaped to hookahs – this gallery covers the whole spectrum of Roor products.

Bongs Not Bombs
December 18th, 2006 by Alex
Here’s a cool piece of apparel for the ladies. Printed on American Apparel stock, some might call this hippie gear. I call it awesome.
Looks like it might be an old design, but you can still get the shirt in size medium. Hopefully, a re-print will happen soon enough.
Australian Government Wants to Ban Bongs
December 18th, 2006 by Alex
A report from the former Australian Federal Police commissioner has spurred their government to look into banning the sale of all bongs.
This report strengthened the link between marijuana use and mental illness, especially when smoking at a young age. Not surprisingly, it was heavily against using marijuana in any form. But, this is what you should expect when the former head of a police agency releases data on illegal substances.
With the belief that easily available bongs & water pipes do nothing but proliferate the use of pot, the Parliamentary Secretary of Health wants them removed from the market. The biggest hurdle is many people use bongs to smoke “tobacco and other legal substances”.
This is a surprising turn of events, as the world generally thinks of Australia as being a more relaxed, mellow version of America. Let’s hope that this proposed ban goes nowhere and bongs are still easily available to purchase.

A Bong for Giants

Hmmm. This is a good idea, but even Yao Ming isn’t tall enough to operate this street-level bong. Nice try ace.
