Εκκλησία των στόχων πραγματικότητας για το θρησκευτικό δοχείο

February 14th, 2007 by Alex

###

The Church of Reality is not a druggie religion. Our position is that one should use substances responsibly. We do however have chemically driven brains that can emulate logic. It is well established that smoking Marijuana can inspire creative thinking and I can tell you that this religion would not exist if not for Pot.

Lo and behold, the DEA responded and they are taking his request seriously. In the response letter, the DEA included 3 pages of highly detailed questions regarding the Church of Reality, its background and how & in what context it plans on using marijuana.

Marc intends to completely fill out the DEA questionnaire and get it back to them. I’m highly interested to see not only his responses but also how the DEA will play it from there. Out of all the different approaches to utilizing the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, I have to say the Church of Reality appears to be taking the most level-headed and responsible route.

We’ll keep you updated…

HowToStopSmokingMarijuana.com Sucks

January 26th, 2007 by Alex

I honestly don’t even know what to say about this one. It’s like Cannabis Addicts on steroids combined with horrible video effects and bad editing. Oh yea, his website style looks slightly familiar too.

I’m not sure what sort of weed this guy used to smoke, but when I come across some liquid lead kush I’ll be sure to let everyone know.

If the video’s goal is to advertise how great his life is without marijuana then someone needs to go back to marketing school. Instead, this video is just a badly thought out scare tactic.

HowToStopSmokingMarijuana.com has all the characteristics of a money making scheme. It’s also badly developed and executed. Hopefully, everyone here & over the pond knows to stay away from this sort of crap.

One more lame video after the jump.

Site Takes Money from Cannabis “Addicts”

January 24th, 2007 by Alex

###

In the internet advertising industry there are many different ways to scam people out of time and money. You can promise Free $500 Gift Cards, offer Debt Consolidation or sucker people into completely worthless programs. It’s not hard to spot these sort of operations and one happened to come across my inbox the other day - Cannabis Addicts.

###
Advertising efforts like this are half-thought out at best. More than 9 out of 10 are completely bogus with false promises and the goal of getting as much cash out of you as possible. Cannabis Addicts is similar to many other ‘program’ type offers that fall into different industries. Here’s an example of one for Trump University (with a cheesy signature at the bottomn just like Cannabis Addicts) and a slightly better designed Stop Smoking offer. Simple to build sites like this can earn upwards of $5,000 a month by preying on gullible people.

All these bogus sites tend to share the same characteristics:

  • Long, overblown product explanations
  • Plenty of fake “customer” endorsements
  • An expert system creator to add credibility
  • Some random advertising company hiding behind it all

So, what’s the end result of all this? If you want to quit smoking pot, which is totally cool by me, do it the right way. Talk to a doctor or a friend who’s done it successfully. Don’t be another victim and pay out of pocket for some lame attempt to rip people off.

Update: Turns out that Cannabis Addicts has their own weblog. The posts seem genuine enough, but you can always tell the real motivation by how many times the owner links back to his own products. In the end, it’s all a money grab.

Never Get Busted Again - Site Launch

January 5th, 2007 by Alex

###

The wait is over to see the highly anticipated Never Get Busted Again instructional DVD.

As previously reported, Barry Cooper - former “Top Narcotics Officer” - has created what is being called one of the most complete anti-drug detection videos ever produced.

This release is getting a lot of press specifically because Barry was a former police officer, getting paid to put people behind bars. Through his years in law enforcement, he became disillusioned by all the pain caused through drug busts and gained a new perspective on America’s War on Drugs.

Barry’s accomplishments seem to be genuine. He has the video footage, arrest records, performance certificates and detection training to prove that he is what he appears to be - a knowledgeable ex-police officer.

Whether his product is going to deliver the promised goods is yet to be seen.

As I write this, we’re getting a copy of Never Get Busted Again into the office. Look forward to a full breakdown of what we hope will be a ground-breaking effort in bringing drug legalization to the forefront of the American consciousness.

The Good Drugs Guide

December 18th, 2006 by Tim

The Good Drugs Guide

The Good Drugs Guide is a UK-based non-profit website dedicated to informing visitors about all major forms of “recreational” drugs. This includes amphetamines, cannabis, cocaine, heroin and more.

The GDG is not as extensive as the better known Erowid Vault, however it is more straightforward. It gives you a solid understanding of the drug of interest. I guess if one was looking strictly for the basics, this site is a good place to start.

Apart from its offered information, it also includes a blog which hasn’t been updated since August 2, 2006 and a radio show that hasn’t been updated since late 2005. So, don’t go there looking for up-to-the-minute information.

To give you an idea: click here for The Good Drugs Guide page for cannabis and click here for Erowid’s cannabis page. See the difference?

Bottom line: If you want to study up on any drugs, save yourself a trip and go directly to Erowid. They’re the king.

MarijuanaBusiness.com

December 12th, 2006 by Alex

Would you trust this guy?
Is this a future Fortune 500 CEO?

Even though it’s guaranteed to make you a local celebrity, landing in the tFS Arrests section isn’t as fun as it sounds. Everyone knows growing pot can be one dangerous occupation. Still, with the risk comes the profit, and that will always attract people to try their hand at cultivating weed.

MarijuanaBusiness.com, if you believe everything written on their site, is a company dedicated to teaching people how to grow & sell marijuana. They’ll also instruct you how to avoid getting arrested, hide your money from the IRS and do plenty of other things that will really piss off the US government.

Let’s check out some choice items from the ‘Table of Contents’:

  • Step-by-step plans to starting a marijuana business
  • How to establish grower/dealer relationships
  • Local and federal POLICE/FBI/DEA investigation tactics
  • How and where to set-up a distribution network
  • How to hide your new found profits and make them work for you
  • Liberal schools that are dealer friendly
  • Conversations that will help you initiate a sale

Basically, this is a guide on how not to become a law-abiding citizen. If all the 42+ topics covered in the Table of Contents are accurate, MarijuanaBusiness.com might actually be one of the best available sources for a home grown pot business.

One downside is how unbelievably shady that guy on the cover of the CD looks. Also, their website fits into all the usual stoner cliches with weed green coloring and a tiled, marijuana background image.

Overall, this site only leaves me with one unanswered question - does MarijuanaBusiness.com have a chapter on how to avoid the FBI/DEA tracking who purchases their CD’s online? Let’s hope so, because that’s data someone from Uncle Sam will be very interested in seeing.
