Ron White Jokes About Pot Bust

October 10th, 2008 by Alex

Comedian Ron White, AKA Tater Salad, AKA that guy with the cigar, AKA the only funny dude from the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, got busted by the cops in Florida.

Here’s a clip of him talking about ‘Air Tater,’ its search, laughing about who the cops really believe, and his ‘ruh roh!’ moment.

2008 Stonys Winner: Stonervention

October 2nd, 2008 by Alex

The UCB guys were dope enough to stop by our 2008 Stonys post and drop a link to the video that won the Stony for Best Internet Video - Stonervention.

Figured we should throw it on the front page and get more of you productive assholes to see this and learn about your douchebaggery ways. Don’t hurt your friends, and remember, the first step is admitting you have a problem!

Check out their acceptance speech after the jump…

Officer Consumes Pot Brownies, Believes He’s Dead

September 24th, 2008 by Tim

Ah, an oldie but goodie.

Police officer “Numb Skull” Sanchez and his wife freak out after devouring a batch of pot brownies and call 911 in a stoned frenzy. Thinking he overdosed on marijuana, he becomes increasingly anxious, believing he might actually die.

By the way, “What’s the score on the Red Wings game?”

James Franco of Pineapple Express, Does SNL

September 23rd, 2008 by Perry

Enthusiasts will tell you that Saturday Night Live had its ‘heyday’ in the 70s, 80s or 90s, depending on who you talk to. Personally, I think it was ‘92 - ‘95 during the Sandler-Farley “Lunchlady Land” era. But every once in a while, their crack comedy squad puts together a skit worth watching.

This particular one stars James Franco and does a play on his character from Pineapple Express. Good times.

Pot Is Not an Accepted Currency in Vegas

September 17th, 2008 by Alex

This one’s a little old, July of ‘08, but damn if it isn’t the leading candidate for Dumbass of the Month.

This homeboy has an ounce of herb in his pockets, and instead of using cash money, he decides to drop some nugs on the table as a wager. Even better, he realizes he’s over-bet, and then takes back some buds and arranges a neat little pile over the betting area. Genius.

Not surprisingly, he was arrested in minutes… dumbass.

Hey Teach, Got A Light?

September 15th, 2008 by Alex

If this isn’t a classic example of the stoner teach, I don’t know what is.

It’s unclear whether this guy found his son’s stash or he just has a really, really hard time handling his herbature. Either way, I’d get to class 5 minutes early, every day, to hear lectures like this.

The Streets: The Irony of It All

March 20th, 2007 by Alex

Here’s a music video that many of you might not have seen from a UK bloke called The Streets.

This track is off his debut album in 2002 and, regardless of whether you dig the music or not, sends a strong message on the current dichotomy created by governments across the world.

While alcohol is heavily consumed and responsible for tens of thousands of deaths each year, it still remains legal with a positive societal stigma. Marijuana, on the other hand, is generally safer than alcohol yet still illegal and constantly associated with negative stigmas.

Even though music artists aren’t necessarily the best people to be taking advice from, The Streets paints himself as someone who can portray both sides of an argument to get his point across.

Colbert Talks with Drug Policy Alliance Head

January 10th, 2007 by Alex

Why not start the morning off with something funny? Here’s Stephen Colbert and Ethan Nadelmann having a “debate” about the War on Drugs.

Who exactly is Nathan Nadelmann? He’s the Executive Director of the Drug Policy Alliance.

Stephen is a master of turning an interview into an improv comedy fest, but you can tell Nathan really tries to get some solid numbers out there for the public to digest.

He also does a good job talking about incarceration, legalization and the right to alter one’s own body - all while keeping Stephen on his toes. Even the audience responded well.

Matching wits with the Soaring Eagle himself has to be daunting as hell, but I think it went over damn well.

Read on to see Part 2 of the Colbert/Nadelmann interview.
