Tucker Carlson Owns Congressman

February 13th, 2007 by Alex

Life tends to throw curveballs every once in a while, so I try to stay prepared. However, something that no one could prepare me for was this video of Tucker Carlson laying a verbal smackdown on the ultra-conservative congressman, Rep. Mark Souder.

This clip is great on many levels:

  • It’s always fun to see a political hot-air bag sputter out total bullshit answers to very straight forward questions
  • Tucker’s smug expression during the majority of the interview had to be infuriating for the congressman
  • Tucker admits to knowing “many” casual pot smokers and flat out tells the congressman he is wrong

I’d feel bad for Mark Souder, but he’s brought this on himself. It’s crystal clear that he is the result of when political agendas and rhetoric overtake the rational, thinking mind.

Even Marc Emery has a bone to pick with this guy.

How To Make Hash

December 28th, 2006 by Alex

Making hash always seemed a little daunting to me. As far as ‘do-it-yourself‘ projects go, hash is much more complex than your everyday pot brownies.

This video explains everything in detail and will definitely take away any apprehension at going through with the multi-step process. It takes some practice, but man is it rewarding to make your first batch of brown brick.

Make a little, make a lot - there’s no limit on how much you can press.

The Sun Rip

December 27th, 2006 by Alex

Many companies are tackling the quest to make smoking pot as healthy and tasty as possible. We’ve got natural gas lighters, vape lighters and more vaporizer designs than anyone can remember.

In the end, there’s on true method that the others just can’t touch - the sun rip.

It’s not an available option all the time, but when you have the chance I suggest you give it a shot. All you need is a clear sky, a magnifying glass and a nice summer day.

It tastes better, it’s healthier and you get to tell people that you’re in tune with nature. That’s what I call a win-win situation.

America’s First Pot Club

December 21st, 2006 by Alex

Here’s a sobering and realistic look at what it was like to be an early medical marijuana patient.

Multiple Sclerosis sufferers are one of the groups most benefited by marijuana’s effects, yet the director does a good job of just being an observer and not necessarily placing his own negative or positive implications on the film.

Life In Amsterdam

December 18th, 2006 by Alex

Here’s a short (barely over a minute), 1st person video about life in Amsterdam. More to the point, how mind-numbingly easy it is to buy marijuana in Amsterdam.

Looks like for €25 Euro this dude’s getting 1.72 grams of weed. That breaks down to $33 for almost 2 grams. Not shabby considering the quality of buds over there.

Armed with this knowledge, check out the Amsterdam Coffeeshop Directory and get the same experience yourself.

Grass – History of the War on Marijuana

December 7th, 2006 by Alex

Here is a widely praised, full-length documentary on the history of marijuana prohibition.

Narrated by Woody Harrelson and directed by Ron Mann, this video takes an in-depth look into the amazinly political motivations that led to our current day marijuana laws. It also examines the non-stop propaganda campaign that allowed all these laws to be approved in the first place.

Although a lot of humor is used, if you think about it, this is a pretty sobering notice that even the smartest people can be tricked by an intelligently run propaganda campaign.

If you want to watch the whole movie but don’t like the small screen, check out the hi-res version.

Driving Stoned vs. Driving Sober

December 1st, 2006 by Alex

Here’s an interesting video aired on British television that’s been gaining popularity online.

It’s not the most scientifically sound piece of research on the planet, but it does illustrate the point that maybe driving while stoned isn’t as dangerous as everyone makes it out to be. The consensus is that a healthy dose of paranoia after smoking generates increased concentration in the driver. On the flip side, driving while drunk makes your more liable to take risks.

The bottom line is that everyone has a different threshold. The host also suggests a form of test that figures out how much herb someone has smoked. Good luck with that.

So, how does the driver do stoned compared to sober? You’ll have to watch to find out…

If They Only Grew This Fast…

November 2nd, 2006 by Tim

This is a cool time-lapse video depicting the process of herbs’ vegetation stage. If you’ve never seen any plants in person, this will give you a pretty good idea of how these babies develop in the early parts of the grow process.

Speeding up the frame rate shows just how much plants can move throughout the grow cycle.
