Golden Wrap is one of the few consistent, quality manufacturers that you can find in the rolling papers game. Because of its leaf thickness, Golden Wrap Peach ($2) is more akin to a blunt wrap than a normal rice / hemp based paper. Also, their use of the best available tobacco leaves adds a parchment type feel to each paper.

When it comes to smell, taste, smokeability and any other category you can think of - Golden Wrap comes through. Gummed leaves make sure you get a strong, even seal when rolling. The peach smell is on target, but not too strong. Everything smokes smoothly and generates a really nice aroma.

When I’m able to say something negative about Golden Wrap papers, tFS readers will be the first to know. Fortunately, today is not that day.

Jamaican Papers are a well known, quality manufacturer. Blunt Vanilla, one of their product staples, happens to be an early tFS favorite. Each 1 1/2″ pack contains 33 leaves. The papers are thin and smooth to the touch. Horizontal lines are integrated to ensure even burning the entire way down. One disadvantage, though, is the width of these papers far exceeds your everday spliff size.

Blunt Vanilla doesn’t add any flavor or taste to your smoke. Instead, they let you focus on the leaf content alone. This is a nice change of pace from their seperate line of Strawberry and Coconut papers. So - if a slick, even burning paper is what you’re looking for, Blunt Vanilla is a first-rate choice.

Want to take your mind on vacation to the islands? Spanish Banana are sweet tasting papers that will take you back to the essence. Full-bodied and smooth, they measure in at 1.5” and come with 33 leaves. With a hint of banana, Spanish Banana is a relaxing smoke that burns consistently from start to finish. Almost as good as Spanish Coconut, this tropical cousin is a fine addition to any collection of papers. It just so happens to be another tFS favorite.

Umm, sizzling bacon? That’s problem number one, and we haven’t even gotten to the papers yet. These 3″ x 1.75″ monstrosities come with 24 leaves of heinousness. Juicy Jay’s made a poor attempt at replicating the bacon smell and the leaves taste like absolutely nothing. The glue is decent and the burn quality is regular.

There are just some things in this world that shouldn’t exist and bacon-flavored paper is one of them. Do yourself a favor and don’t buy these papers, don’t recommend them to friends and don’t even use them on your enemies. Well… maybe your enemies.

Being relatively expensive papers, you’d think they burn great … right? Wrong. They burn like forest fires driven by the Santa Ana winds, as streaky and unpredictable as it gets. Ah, good ol’ Randy’s. These classic papers are for people who like crutchless joints, but don’t like wasting herb or messing with roach clips. They measure 2.75″ x 1.75″ and deliver solid performance. The 25 leaves of odorless, white paper are high quality with consistent glue. Expect your J’s to burn evenly and give off the flavor of whatever the hell it is you’re smoking.
