Teacher, What’s That Funny Smell?
September 24th, 2008 by Perry
Fourth grade teach busted for slangin’ buds, what is the world coming to? I honestly don’t understand why people take the risks in states like Florida, where MMJ has been allowed.
Also probably not the greatest picture of Wildalynn Harris, I’m sure. She looks like she was interrupted in the middle of a session. Pass the dutchie on the left, please.
UK Drug Law Experts Re-Think Classifications
September 23rd, 2008 by Alex
Ahead of a UK government meeting on the misuse of drugs, the UK Drugs Policy Commission has submitted a report to . UK uses an ‘A, B and C’ scale to dictate the danger of drugs and the correlating penalties for being caught with them.
The commission is suggesting that the over-politicization of drug classifications is harming the system, and the entire scale needs to be re-thought. Basically, rating things on a “danger scale” has no effect on any users, and a more intelligent system that alerts people of physical & mental dangers would be much more effective.
Roger Howard, Chief Executive, UK Drug Policy Commission, had this to say:
The time has come for an independent wholesale review of the system to clarify how a scientific rating of drug harms should be used for drug classifications and for wider applications such as setting policing priorities or public health messages.
Exciting? No. A possible step in the right direction (for Europeans)? Yes.
A Field of Dreams

Make that shattered dreams. How do local authorities not notice pot plants until 10,000 to 15,000 of them get eight to 10 feet tall? Good day for law enforcement, baaaaad day for the growers.
Muskingum County Sheriff Bob Stephenson said:
I’ve been involved in law enforcement in this area for 36 years and I’ve never seen a marijuana grow area such as this. It’s really amazing what has been going on here.
Well, Stephenson, thanks for putting a few things in perspective.
Video after the jump. Continue Reading
George Michael in News Again for Drug Problems
September 22nd, 2008 by Perry
Sorry Arrested Development fans, not that George Michael.
The real headline here is not “George Michael Apologizes to Fans,” it’s “People Still Care About George Michael?” I mean who honestly could he have been apologizing to. Who buys a George Michael album, and if you’re still listening, why?
Better yet, how about I propose this for debate:
Bigger douchebag; George Michael or Bono? Discuss.
Bahston’s Finest Be Wicked Angry
September 22nd, 2008 by Perry
The annual Boston Freedom Rally – described by organizers as ‘the largest marijuana reform gathering on the East Coast’ – drew hundreds of stoners, activists and vendors to the park.
Ah yes, the spirit of activism was alive and well in vendors, activists and of course… stoners, most of whom were probably just looking for a spot to light up in the park. Being it was such a nice day. It’s kind of funny, you hear stories about how only a few generations ago, activists protested real government problems while smoking weed.
We still have those exact same government problems but I guess we’ll at least have our weed. That’s progress baby.
You Break, You Buy
September 22nd, 2008 by Perry
Two Colorado folk are trying to get reimbursed somewhere in the neighborhood of $200,000 for 39 pot plants the local police illegally seized, and then returned a year later, completely ruined.
I’m not the resident hydroponics expert, but I’m sure sitting in a police basement with no light, can’t be good for plants. Some of the plants were so badly decomposed they had turned into a black, moldy liquid. No report on whether or not the couple tried to smoke the liquid.
It Could Be That Much Better to Live in Michigan
September 19th, 2008 by Perry
For the first time, Michigan is placing a piece of medical marijuana legislation on the ballot.
This could be huge. A blue state for the previous four elections, I think one of the big surprises of this move has to be why it took so long. Perhaps its consideration as a traditionally-valued, mid-western state may have contributed to the delay. Regardless, the fact that such a state could put such a proposition on the ballot, indicates a positive shift in thinking across the heartland.
Ralph Nader: Reformer, Watchdog, Asshole
September 19th, 2008 by Perry
Guys, hear me out. When I was younger, I really believed in what Nader was doing.
Then I saw what Nader was really doing.
I think he made his point very clear in the 2000 election, that America’s two-party system is unfair and does nothing for the American political scene but proliferate partisan agendas. I think we’ve all learned that Ralph. But what we also learned is that liberal third-party candidates such as yourself, take votes directly from the mainstream liberal party, the Democrats. And it’s not like you aren’t aware of this.
You have no shot, you or your running mate Bob Barr (the former AG who came out against incarcerating drug users.) So I’m only gonna say this once: Stop being a selfish asshole and join a cabinet if you want change, before you give the Republicans another election.
I don’t think I could be any more clear. Yes, Ralph has a right to run. But honestly his whole campaign is the equivalent of a flag burn in its nature and end result. Just because you have a right to do something, doesn’t mean you have to exercise that right for the sake of being a prick.
