Narconon’s “The More You Know” Shit Pile

May 20th, 2009 by Rick

This video irritated me beyond words. As usual the same marijuana “facts” are listed to give it that outlaw rebel status. The words “bad drugs” were used half a dozen times as it slowly began to ring in my head by the end of the clip.

The main philosophy that comes from the video is derived from the international organization Narconon, whose manifest centers around drug rehab and prevention. Their source of methodology comes from the work of L. Ron Hubbard, part of the same work that fueled the cult religion of Scientology.

The irony and sheer audacity behind this video is that they emphasize their attack on marijuana and not meth, which runs rampant in the state of Georgia. The story that the girl tells sounds like a meth story. They even have a website that they show at the end of the clip that deals with meth. The production was spearheaded by the Douglas Sheriff Department and like typical law enforcement they focused on the dreaded “bad drug,” marijuana.

Thanks to them, the producers have a bright future in replicating crap like this for Fox. Talk about meth and its effects in the next video clip and marijuana will seem like a recreational drug that happens to alleviate certain medical conditions.

This video sucks so much ass it’s unbelievable. A few quick observations:

    - zero facts are presented
    - that fat kid can’t throw a foam football for shit, high or not
    - ‘bad drugs’ is repeated a ridiculous amount of times
    - ‘good drugs’ are Rx drugs, which kill infinitely more people than pot has
    - most of the drugs shown in the quick edits are powder based
    - guns are being shown next to the drugs, negative association trick…
    - the comparison of mall shopping and drug use is ridiculous

Anyway, this is just one of the long line of horribly produced anti-drug efforts.

    A couple questions….
    1. How can you abuse marijuana?
    2. How come with all sorts of drugs (cigs, alcohol, pot, etc) the powers at be always tell us what we already know about the harmfull effects?

Bad this, bad that, Bad, bad, bad. So let me get this straight. If you say bad enough about something it has to be bad? Drugs dont fk up people’s lives. People do it to themselves. Many people don’t respect drugs and in turn they become addicted. But there are responsible people out there. Drugs are not the problem. This fkd up World we live in is the problem. People just want to be free. This hyper-real Bullshit is Bullshit. Let us blaze one down in appreciation for life. Let us eat a mushroom which hightens our ability to connect with other brains and the Universe. Let us live. Go back to your Mall u blonde tool. Thanks!
