Florida Wants to Get in on Some MMJ Action
April 10th, 2009 by Aaron
From the Golden State on to the Sunshine State, medical marijuana is roaring through the country with a furor. As you know, medical cannabis is legal in the state of California but the most populated state in the union is still the only state where it’s considered “legal”.
Now Florida is attempting to make it legal in 2010 as the People United for Medical Marijuana will be circulating a petition next year asking voters to pass a law that would allow patients to buy, grow, possess and obtain medical marijuana in a completely legal way.
Honestly, that’s one of the last states I would ever imagine legalizing pot for any reason. It is the south after all and the south doesn’t seem as hip to weed as the rest of the states, excluding the midwest. But hell, if Florida legalizes it, wouldn’t that be wonderful? We could have our Floridian pot brothers smoke a bowl with a juicy Florida orange for breakfast.
Here’s hoping Florida makes the right decision and that decision should be: Legalize it.
