Marijuana Paraphernalia Saves a Life, Literally
January 22nd, 2009 by Perry
At the end of the day, all you can say is that marijuana paraphernalia saved a life. In the Rancho Cucamonga murder trial of Jose Laguna, 23, a witness claims to have been saved from a bullet when it hit his pipe and ricocheted off.
A forensic pathologist supported the account of the prosecution, who allege that Jose Laguna, 23, shot at victim David Velez, and the lucky witness, who was not publicly identified.
Velez was killed when a black Jeep Cherokee pulled up where he was sitting and opened fire in Montclair. The witness had a marijuana pipe in a pants pocket, which was hit by a bullet that came from the jeep. Velez died later that evening, but police officers found the murder weapon and Laguna, the alleged shooter, now faces up to 110 years in prison if convicted.
I think the lesson here is pretty clear, stuff as many metal pipes as possible into your clothing. You’ll be indestructible.
