Obama’s Top Prosecutor

October 23rd, 2008 by Perry

It’s cheeky and optimistic to start talking about who Obama would put in his cabinet, but it’s interesting to speculate since it could impact everyone’s lives. The attorney general helps set prosecutorial priority in the country, which has been aimed at drug offenders in the past eight years.

Based on his network and advisors, a blog lists two likely choices: Eric Holder, a partner with the firm of Covington & Burling, and Deval Patrick, the governor of Massachusetts. Again, the choices are pure speculation so don’t jump off the Obama ship just yet, but in 1997 according to NORML, Holder “proposed legislation to stiffen penalties for the possession of marijuana” while with the Justice Department.

For more information, the American Bar Assoication Journal provides a more in-depth analysis of the AG situation.

    Mike Says:

Not to mention both of these guys are Marxist liberal corrupt “for sale to the highest bidder” scumbags.

Eric Holder, who was in charge of picking Obama’s VP (good job picking “slow Joe” “gaffe-a-minute” Biden by the way), was Clinton’s deputy attorney general under Janet Reno and speedily waved through the pardon for fugitive financier Marc Rich as well as 16 Puerto Rican terrorists from FALN (the Spanish acronym for the Armed Forces of National Liberation) in the waning days of the Clinton White House.

Deval Patrick, who took over for Mitt Romney governing Massachusetts promising to spur economic growth and continue Romney’s good work but as a Democrat, raised taxes on everyone thus lowering tax revenue to the state by a lot, bankrupted the state health insurance fund that Romney had started and filled up, and boosted spending on social welfare programs to uncontrollable deficit levels.

And on top of that, just like any controlling restrictive Marxist liberal would, these guys have suggested smoking bans even on tobacco, not to mention their opposition to weed.

For all of you cool cats out there who like Obama and think he’s gonna decriminalize or even legalize…you’re dreaming. Your only hope is Libertarian candidate Bob Barr but 1) he’ll be lucky if he gets 0.0001% of the popular vote this year and 2) he’ll never get it through a strongly liberal Congress.

Keep in mind liberal Democrats like John Edwards, Hillary Clinton, Barney Frank, Chuck Schumer, John Kerry and Nancy Pelosi have all publicly endorsed a national smoking ban law.

That doesn’t sound very libertarian or counterculture to me…and these are supposed to be the cool hip Democrats.

    Think about it!
