Hybrid Plant
December 20th, 2006 by AlexA new strain of the plant bred specifically to resist chemicals that only injure the leaves and not the root. This leaves entire plantations of marijuana immune to aerial fumigation / burning.

No one drops knowledge like Alf or Bugs Bunny, Baby Kermit or the Chipmunk kids. They give it to you straight - Marijuana leads to craziness, you turn into a ghoulish zombie on drugs and the smoke monster loves crack. There really isn’t anything more to say.
Entire episode action after the jump.

The East Coast Gets Ripped Off for Pot
December 19th, 2006 by Alex
Yesterday, Gawker posted an article titled, $560 Per Oz. Pot “Most Expensive In City History?”
Now, it shouldn’t surprise most people that certain people in the marijuana business are highly familiar with the metric system. They’re also not too shabby at math. Why? Pot is big business and the numbers involved can make you rich.
So, when reading about $560/oz for marijuana, I couldn’t help but take some notice. Gawker talks about the original article in a newspaper and then asks readers for verification of the pricing. Their update included this quote:
Just for the record, most weed of this caliber sells for $600 an ounce an up all day long. Tell ya the truth $560 is a good deal. You could buy that, sell 1.5g’s for $50 and still turn a profit and get yourself some free bong hits. (The math: you get 18 1.5g’s from a standard 28g oz. 18 x $50=$900 …. 900gross-560cost=$340 profit per ounce) Same with Diesel, another popular brand. And it’s not called Purple Haze, it’s just Haze, what dipshits. Not to mention, it’s the Kush that is killing shit right now, selling for upwards of $8k a pound. Not that I would be an expert of anything, just sayin’.

That totals out to $840, $600, $540 and $500 respectively. And that’s retail, not wholesale. You can get better prices than that with a hookup. If you want to drop down a little, it approaches $320-350 an ounce for high quality buds.
Bottom Line: If you’re paying $560/oz for weed, you’re getting ripped off.

This is the opening act of the stage show that Doug, Arj and Tony perform live. If you like it, check out their site and grab the CD.

Here’s a cool piece of apparel for the ladies. Printed on American Apparel stock, some might call this hippie gear. I call it awesome.
Looks like it might be an old design, but you can still get the shirt in size medium. Hopefully, a re-print will happen soon enough.
The Good Drugs Guide
December 18th, 2006 by Tim
The Good Drugs Guide is a UK-based non-profit website dedicated to informing visitors about all major forms of “recreational” drugs. This includes amphetamines, cannabis, cocaine, heroin and more.
The GDG is not as extensive as the better known Erowid Vault, however it is more straightforward. It gives you a solid understanding of the drug of interest. I guess if one was looking strictly for the basics, this site is a good place to start.
Apart from its offered information, it also includes a blog which hasn’t been updated since August 2, 2006 and a radio show that hasn’t been updated since late 2005. So, don’t go there looking for up-to-the-minute information.
To give you an idea: click here for The Good Drugs Guide page for cannabis and click here for Erowid’s cannabis page. See the difference?
Bottom line: If you want to study up on any drugs, save yourself a trip and go directly to Erowid. They’re the king.
