Cop Cookies

It’s a real shame that $2 and a night of harmless recreation can end a meaningful, $50k career. A career that would have helped stop legitimate crime and benefit people in a positive way.

Jonathon Smith, a Washington state police officer, was forced to resign after being told that two fellow officers witnessed him buying two $1 pot cookies at a rock concert. The two officers who witnessed the event described that Deputy Smith knowingly bought cookies laced with weed at a Tool performance. Acting Police Chief James Nicks gave him the option to be fired or resign. He obviously chose the latter.

Steven Cory Mack, the dude slanging the cookies at the show, was further investigated. Police found 2.8g of herb, cookie crumbs in a plastic container, along with $300 in $1 bills in his seized 99′ Chevy Blazer.

Damn, this cop was just kicking back - ready for Maynard to blow his mind - and his fellow officers ratted him out. You can be sure that dude would’ve beene extra chill with stoners too. Ah well, one less cool cop on the streets and the world keeps turning.
