Pot Grows at Duluth Police Dept.

Recently, a Duluth reporter stumbled upon something ironic as hell. While visitng the West Duluth police substation on a seperate news story, reporter Janna Goerdt noticed a curious plant growing near the main entrance of the building. For confirmation, she plucked a leaf from the plant and brought it back to the newspaper for a closer look.

Tom Kasper, a city gardener, confirmed that the leaf she plucked did indeed come from a marijuana plant. Shortly after, Kasper notified neighborhood supervising police Lt. John Beyer that there were a dozen 4-6 inch tall pot plants growing in the front yard of the police department. The gardener estimated these plants were growing for around 3 weeks. Apparently, since the front entrance is rarely used by incoming and outgoing personnel, these little guys wouldn’t have been discovered for quite some time. Looks like someone’s pulled a joke on the Duluth Police that even Lt. Beyer can get a small laugh from.

The only thing I can say is somebody has a sense of humor. Now they’ll read about it in the paper and say, ‘Yeah, that was me.’

Too bad the reporter was a snitch, it would’ve been awesome to see fully grown pot plants next to a police station. Oh well, we’ll forgive ya Janna.
